Video Image Update Frequency

The video surveillance images are updated every 10-15 minutes. Occasionally, one or more camera images may become unavailable due to technical issues that only the staff at the “Upper Lars” customs checkpoint can resolve.

• The left column of cameras shows the situation at the entrance to Russia from Georgia.
• The right column displays the situation at the exit from Russia to Georgia.
• By clicking the “Refresh” button above the images in the center, the picture will update to the latest one, but only if it has already been uploaded; otherwise, the old image will remain. Usually, new images from the surveillance cameras are captured every 10-15 minutes.

Traffic Queue Length Online

The border traffic map is interactive — you can zoom in and move it. Blue markers indicate the locations of the Russian and Georgian checkpoints, with a 3-km neutral zone featuring two tunnels between them. Red and burgundy colors indicate heavy traffic jams, orange signifies moderate congestion, and green means the situation is calm and clear. The information updates every 1-2 minutes.
